A canopy is a system of mesh, tensioning, supports and foundations. Height and shape affect access, drainage and equipment maintenance. Each site needs a plan for reaching assets below the cover.
Mesh is mounted above the protected area on masts and a frame while preserving service routes and equipment access. Removable panels allow maintenance and lifting operations. Mesh opening, height and support layout are specified together for the project.
Wind and snow loads, frame strength, connections and foundations are checked. The listed mesh dimensions describe starting materials, not certified resistance of the whole system to an FPV drone, payload or explosion. Such a claim needs a defined threat and evidence for the complete structure through analysis and testing.
A contact load passes from mesh through cables, connections and supports to the foundation. The design therefore checks the complete load path, not mesh opening alone. Setback, possible deflection, removable panels and maintenance access are considered together.
